At Townhead we pride ourselves on not only having wonderful 'old world' character but also all the modern amenities that you would expect while you are away from your own home.  Bonsall is a great place both to live and visit with our 2 amazing pubs - The Kings Head - 300 yds and The Barley Mow - about half a mile.  We also have the Fountain Cafe and The cafe in St James' which is open Saturday Sunday and Monday between 12 and 3pm.  There are a wealth of footpaths to explore (each one a miners way to work) and we also offer cycle storage so that you can bring your bike and discover the lanes and tracks that make the area so special.

We are lucky to be close to lots of amazing attractions including the World Heritage Derwent Mill in Cromford, the fun of Matlock Bath - our 'seaside in the Peaks': Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are close by but you also have Keddleston Hall and Hardwick just a short drive away. Please see our attractions page with links for ideas

We accept muddy boots and dogs. Please contact us if you would like any further ideas.

The Peak District has so much to offer and we look forward to sharing it with you.
